Benefits of Pilates Classes at PhysioFit Physical Therapy
Small group and private Pilates classes offered at a reasonable price complement the therapy we offer, improve body awareness and help people prevent future injuries.
Pilates exercises focus on core trunk stability and improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and posture.
Classes are taught by Certified Pilates Instructors.
Our Pilates mat classes are limited to 8 people per class, providing an intimate setting where the instructor can give individual attention to ensure that participants receive the full benefits of the exercise.
We also offer Pilates equipment sessions on state-of-the-art equipment
Private, semi-private and small group (3-4 people) classes are available upon request
Our Pilates instructors are:
Movement specialists by trade.
Highly skilled in cuing people how to use correct form and modify exercises as necessary to prevent injuries
Knowledgeable in the musculoskeletal system and kinesthetics
Experienced in rehabilitating people with dysfunctions and injuries
Trained/certified specifically in Pilates principles and exercises in a long term program
Attentive to individual participant’s exercise needs and limitations
Note: Insurance may cover Pilates classes or private sessions as part of a patient’s treatment plan. If a patient has a musculoskeletal dysfunction or pain, Pilates sessions may be considered to be part of their therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education plan. The classes and sessions need to be prescribed by you. Medicare will cover private exercise sessions, but not group classes.
